The Story Behind the Stitches
I’m Apoorva, the founder and maker behind Crochet by Apoo. I spent much of my childhood playing chess — always enjoying the process of learning, practising, thinking and getting a little better each day. As life moved from studies to a career in SaaS, I found myself drawn to crafts for the same reason: I’ve always loved having something to learn with my hands and grow into. Crochet began in 2022, thanks to a casual suggestion from a friend’s mom: “Why don’t you learn crochet?” I did, and that little suggestion slowly grew into Crochet by Apoo. After 30+ events and countless lovely conversations, we’re now bringing our collections online. We believe good design doesn’t need to chase every trend — it simply needs time, thought and a little heart. So we make what we love, what we’d choose for ourselves and what we believe deserves to be worn and cherished. Every piece passes through one pair of hands — start to finish.
